Okay, now I'm in the correct thread. First of all, thanks everyone for sharing photos and info.

How plug-in-and-go is this thing? If I have resin, could I get the software installed and a test print in the first few hours? Sounds like there isn't too much to put together.

Long term, it seems one would need to replace the FEP film every few hundred hours of use. From what I've read in the past, it seems an LCD like this would eventually get destroyed by the UV exposure, but perhaps that is better measured in years rather than months? I'm also okay with buying a $160 part and installing it... makes me wonder if it would be a smart move to purchase an extra screen (assuming that part is the same) at some point just to be on the safe side.

My goal is to print some things which may be too big for this printer. I would ideally like to print some stuff that would be perhaps 140-160mm x 40-50mm x 10-20mm. From what I've seen, many larger parts are printed diagonally, which would increase the printable size a bit, but not much.

The google+ openSLA group has some people commenting on it, with a few more pics for those interested. One guy mentions that his z-axis comes off the screw at around 110mm in height, which seems to rule this out for me. Does anyone with one of these see a way to modify any of it to achieve more z?

Any thoughts on how they achieve the fine detail? Is it really just a dual UV LED shining onto the underside of a LCD screen with a metal funnel blocking other light? The reason I gave up on my ipad LCD a year or more ago was at least partially due to reading about un-parallel light passing through the screen leading to blurred images.

A final thought. Someone mentioned on the google+ group they had success with 50micron layers but trouble with 100um layers. Is this a potential issue, other than speed? I realize dozens of other factors are at play as well.

Okay, another final thought. They do have a raspberrypi 3 version now, for $80 more. I'm okay with that markup if it saves a bit of time. Or is it literally something I can do with the one I already own? Sounds like there are some config files to setup manually if I DIY the pi.
