help where to plug adaptor

please help. there is no instruction where i need to plug the adaptor. there were two hole for adaptor jack. can anybody tell me which one is correct. thx

Hole in the small base, next to the white jack.

IIRC, the current draw for the motor drive circuit is more than can be supplied from the Arduino board.

Correct the top connector, plugging into the bottom won't hurt anything but the steppers won't receive power to move.
