PDMS vs TEFLON
Posted: Wed Feb 19, 2014 10:17 pm
Hi guys, nice to be on the forum.
Wanna discuss the problem as we are all facing it.
I've tried both Sylgard 184 and FEP teflon.
Of course Sylgard dies really fast, that's a pain, and really hard to work with, but it has almost perfect non-sticking capabilities.
Recently I tried also FEP teflon adhesive from CS Hyde.
At first I was surprised that it will last much longer, but later I noticed that it has a very bad non-sticking capabilities comparing to PDMS.
So even small prints now require TILTING:( That's not cool at all.
I'm using MakerJuice resin.
Any ideas, advice please?
I'm pretty stuck with separation layer problem...
Teflon should be a great option, but what am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance,
