hi guys,
i found some time and decided to get the camera and show my build.
i opted for a flex vat, inspired by HTL desing. instead of using a silicone gasket to secure the fep, i machine a "tongue and groove" ( i dont know if it is the exact word ) in my cnc router, using 10 mm acrylic. The first time i used extruded acrylic, and cleaning the vat with alcohol, it cracked heavily in diferent places. Yesterday machined another one in cast acrylic.
The rest is nothing special:
- t slot aluminum frame and some hdf fiberboard i have lying around.
- acer 6510 and a small servo for shutter function
- chinese linear guide and ballscrew
- electronic and software, arduino, mega 2560 and CW.
I choose funtodo resins to begin testing ( industrial and castable ) and im still at trial and error stage ( this means im a clumsy and still have not take a good print )
in the next days i will post some photos of my wrong attempts and hopefully find the right settings to print at least in 50 microns at xyz.
another one!

Re: another one!
first model, printed in FTD red castable, no pigments added.
1300 ms bottom 3 layers, 1000 exposure, 50 xyz.
the left side is totally wrong, maybe the film is f....d in this place. previusly i have many prints curing in the FEP, because print felt from the build plataform.
Now im trying to print the same calibration stl in four diferent places at the same time.
A question: A way to retire failed prints from FEP without damage and without getting out the resin?
Sorry for my "cateto" english

Re: another one!
new print, same settings previous ones. This part is 26x27 mm. not bad at all. im gonna try print in the other side of the plataform, where the others prints failed.

Nice work!
What are the printable dimensions for your vat? Your vat walls seem to be made of some type of sheet metal - did you design those yourself as well or do they come from another printer?

Re: another one!
can print 15x10 cm.
the vat wall is 20x20x1.5 aluminium profile. is glue to the acrylic with araldite epoxi.
the desing is inspired from HTL. he post a schematic here in this forum. i modified a bit to adapat my needs and materials
