Hi all, as it says, my perforated SS build plate is very slightly curved which causes problems the farther out from center you go. Anyone have tips or a source for perfectly flat built plates? This is for a top down dlp setup.
Thanks,
Vaughan

Makes sense..thanks.
Do you know if aluminum will work with salt water? The plate I have now is stainless steel@ .60" thick but anything thicker starts getting pretty expensive

I use 1/4" MIC-6 Aluminum Tool Plate, its extremely flat stuff. It does not come perforated though, so I have to run it through my CNC to drill the holes for it. Any tool plate should be very flat. You can find MIC-6 online in places like Ebay and Onlinemetals.com

One trick to working with a warped build plate is to build up some support layer first by printing a solid until it's level then starting your print after that.
This won't help if you if your Z-axis or the build plate flexes.
