Re: Ilios Ray
Dear Ilios Ray, I will redact my Cyprus comment "Company is from Cyprus, typical". I agree it was a bit too much. I do appreciate the work of talented engineers. From the website, your previous work, I do get the feeling you are talented. You did however, claim on Facebook, 3Ders etc. that...

Re: carbon 3D
As a non sticking layer they use a fluorpolymer, e.g. Teflon AF 1600 or AF 2400. The AF 1600 and AF 2400 have a high oxygen permeability and cost 1800 dollars per 25 gram. The speed of the object's formation depend on the viscosity of the resin η, atmospheric pressure , the height of the gap between...

Re: Ilios Ray
I don't believe the machine exists. I haven't seen product videos or images. It absurd you can already order and pay for this unproven machine. I guess the Ilios Ray is more about fraud than technology.

Re: DLP Metal Printing
It's complicated. You have to dissolve a fine ceramic powder in a solvent. To dissolve the alumina you can use a dispersant. A dispersant increases the separation of particles and prevents settling or clumping of the alumina. Then you add in the monomers and the initiators. You can use a speedmixer ...

Dear all and especially Steve Hernandez, I really admire your open source software and the community you have been able to create. I work for a research organisation and we have various 3D printers in our lab. My department is mostly focussed on SLA printers in the range from 10000 euros and up. You...
