siligel vat bottom... What is it?
Yesterday I was at a jewerly (silver/gold) show room. There were a different kind of commercial resin-base 3D printer, the most of them were bottom-up style. One of the use a bottom vat made of Siligel you can find the description of the 3d printer at this link http://lnx.robotfactory.it/en/3dl-prin...

Re: 350x200 mm Build Platform, UV laser or DLP Projector?
I think the only problem is the focus distance.
To have a 20mm wide image the projector must be very very close to the resin.
Don't know if is it possibile to have such a near projection without losing the focus.
I'm quite new in this world, maybe someone else can give you more adivice!

Re: 350x200 mm Build Platform, UV laser or DLP Projector?
I haven't a laser printer, but I think that with a laser+galvo you can obtain a discrete print speed. Some time ago I have seen in action a professional/commercial galvo-laser printer (made from digital wax), with a lager build area (I think about 250mmx250mm), and it was pretty fast. Maybe not like...

Re: Glycerin is the way to go for top-down
Thank very much for all the images and the info
Yeah I think I'll still continue to use salt water too.
The results are better.
Nice build to

Re: Top-Down Resing floating on salt water
Hi dangre thanks for advice. What model are you talking? Have you some link to share? I have something from when I calibrate my prusa I3. I have wrote a note to FTD and they told me that the temperature of the room (my labs has a temperature of 10-12° celsius) is to low. The resin should be at 18-22...

Re: I'm hopping on the flexvat bandwagon
Wow...
your vat design is handsome!
If only I found that before drop the bottom-up desing for the top-down method...
What's the size of you plate?
Have you intention to try large plate (200x200mm)?
Congratulations!
Great Work man!
