Prints turning white in some places, how to rinse?
http://i.imgur.com/ih6znqL.png (The white part on the print is not a reflection) My prints are turning white in some places. I'm using red MakerJuice SF. I rinse the completed print in Isopropyl alcohol for about 2 min. Then I put them in the sun. In the print in the picture, the Isopropyl alcohol ...

Re: Effects of Resin on 2-Part Epoxy, will it melt?
Thanks for the reply, did you coat all of the parts with epoxy or just use it to glue them together?

Effects of Resin on 2-Part Epoxy, will it melt?
Hola, I want to make a custom flexvat. I want to print the parts in PLA (because I read that resin won't damage PLA), and I want to coat the PLA with a 2-part resin, like XTC-3d Smooth on, or a generic kind, to make it watertight and so that liquid won't escape. Will the resin melt or dissolve the e...

Strange Inconsistent Vertical Scars/Artifacts on Prints
These test prints on my Droplit have dotted scars or vertical lines all around them . I'm wondering the cause of this so I can fix this. Batman is about 40mm tall and the cube is 14mm. Below are pics of the prints and my CW settings. I'm using a petri dish with QSIL 216 as a coating http://www.amazo...

Re: Z-Wobble or Undercuring?
I got a good print! I took the flexible coupling off of my Prusa and put it on this printer. The z-banding is gone. I adjusted the XandY by measuring the projection on the vat. Marvin is still just a little too skinny. To adjust x and y do am I supposed to measure the projection on the vat? or print...

Re: Z-Wobble or Undercuring?
Thanks for the replies, I haven't had time fix the printer yet. I can see the build plate move side to side as it goes up and down. The wheels on the slide are tight, maybe too tight. The eccentric bushings are loosening every now and then too. I will probably just rebuild the whole thing with alumi...

Re: Z-Wobble or Undercuring?
Haha, yeah I laughed at skinny Marvin when I saw the finished print! I'll work on that after this wobble is gone :D Here is an album of my z-axis http://imgur.com/a/4NAFG I was considering putting on a flexible coupler, and I designed a sturdier anti backlash nut that I'm going to print tonight. Any...
