Francesco,
mUVe uses the Viewsonic PJD7820HD. It is proven for this machine and makes it easier to get advice from those who already have one.

Re: Optically clear FEP or translucent?
MJ SubG+ Red. Same with SubG+ Black. I reset all the settings to factory on my projector. I did just get some new QSil and will try my old glass vat to make sure something else didn't go amiss. But for now I need to make parts and it is working great (just slow).

Re: Optically clear FEP or translucent?
When i bought the FEP I did not know there where different types and their description does not designate which they sell (no adhesive): -Color: Clear -Temperature Range: Plain Back: -320° to 400° F, Adhesive Back: -100° to 400° F -Tensile Strength: Poor -Impact Strength: Not rated -Width tolerance ...

Re: Optically clear FEP or translucent?
Good questions. I am on a search for the best FEP (or similar) film and am finding that the manufactures of these films make them in different grades (translucent, clear, etc.) which, I am sure, greatly changes the UV transmission. My film from McMaster seems to not transmit UV as well as what other...

Re: Flex bottom VAT
FEP is tough stuff. I accidentally drove my Z home with a 15mm diameter printed shaft on my build plate (again). By the time I could hit the power switch it had driven about 25mm into the 0.005" FEP. It permanently deformed the FEP but did not break through.

Re: Flex bottom VAT
HP, thanks for the info. I love your vat designs, I'm trying to hard with my tensioned vat. ;-) Hopefully my long exposures are due to my FEP. I'll try to get some from Alibaba. One thing I just ran into -- I was having an issue with the part not sticking to the build platform and I solved it by add...

Re: Flex bottom VAT
HP,
Thanks for your assistance. Looks like I may be buying some more FEP. What exposures are you using and what is the biggest part you have printed with your flex vat?
