Yeah I just talked to Dean about this he said his firmware uses exactly the same setup with the M command to trigger the Z lifts. I'm guessing these guys ripped it out of his firmware or just modified it and called it there's which is not cool at all, not sure how they can patent something someone ...

As I understood from the link, this is a lens feature (vertical and Horizontal), so I expect this feature in big and expensive projectors...
