Re: Many questions!!
Each of your questions is answered within this forum if you take the time to read through the posts. This forum is not very active these days, so you may not get a response to such a broad set of questions.

Re: Photonic3D : opensource DLP/LCD wireless printer controller
here is long boring video of my progress so far. I'm at the point now where I just need to set the parts on an 80/20 frame and then figure out all of my focus/sizing on the projector. I already modified my projector and I can focus at 4.5 inch distance.

Re: Photonic3D : opensource DLP/LCD wireless printer controller
I am about a month into my research and experimenting in my spare time, of which I have very little. I was sure I was going to use NanoDLP and base my design loosely on the mUVe printer because their forum seems active and they have highly detailed instructions on download and use. I visited the pho...

projector resolution sanity check
Everyone is saying buy a full HD projector for the SLA printer. I understand, but my wallet doesn't just yet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Jack purchases a 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) and he focuses it on a large vat, let's say like the 280mm by 200mm flex vat of the mUVe printer, then the ultimat...

Re: reservoir vats
Just ordered your medium vat and build plate kit! Thanks for opening a store! I was going to go with a tape vat, but then I realize that having another plate beneath is not the ideal situation. Unless this "window" underneath has an anti-reflection coating for UV, there will be about 5-8% ...

Re: Improvement Hack: Magnetic Projector Mount for Acer H6510BD
I'm not using them on a printer. I use them for another application as a universal joint with zero slop. The smallest ones you can find will be more than strong enough to hold a projector, even from a ceiling. (assuming you are using 3 or 4 of them) There is an alternative source, but quite expensiv...

Re: VAT design
You seem to be at the same point as I am. I've been researching the various existing vats and methods to handle printing. Many folks build machines that tilt their vats to help with release, and some machines don't use tilt at all and let the vat flex on its own. There is a Youtube video by James Ka...

Re: Piezo ultrasonic release
Thanks drag0kirov, So it appears that the mUVe 3D design tips the build plate to release during retract, but others tilt the resin bath. Is there an advantage of one over the other? I recall someone writing about keeping the resin undisturbed, but I don't understand why, since apparently you need to...
