Re: Very long cure times for MakerJuice SF for LRP, seems more translucent
... Edit: A main reason I asked this was because the resin itself looked much thinner than I remembered, and I was wondering if MakerJuice had changed their formula. I didn't want to waste 10 hours tracking down a non-existent bug because MakerJuice changed some slight thing with their resin. I'd h...

Re: Very long cure times for MakerJuice SF for LRP, seems more translucent
You should be able to figure the change in exposure time from the change in printer resolution, right? If, say, switching vats changed your xy resolution from 25 um to 50 um, then each pixel is covering four times more area (25x25 um to 50x50 um), so exposure time should be four times longer as well...

Re: Masking Troubleshooting & NanoDLP Host?
Thanks for all the info! Oh jeez, I tried using a closeup lens on my current projector and I just could not figure out the focus and distortion problems. I eventually decided I didn't know what I was doing and shimmed it instead. Even though I mostly print jewelry, I don't like losing a portion of t...

Re: Masking Troubleshooting & NanoDLP Host?
Hi Head-Zonk, You mentioned a ribbed surface; what did that look like? I had problems with layer-to-layer banding at one point (I posted a couple photos in this thread: http://www.buildyourownsla.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=5062 ) that turned out to be due to inconsistent exposure times. If y...

Re: Projector Mod for LittleRP Success!
Congrats! Were you able to get the cover back on the projector with the color wheel in its new position, or do you run with the cover off?

Re: LittleRP and Raspberry Pi 3
I run my LittleRP with a Raspberry Pi 3 and the Photonic3D software (previously known as Creation Workshop Host). Version 1.0.0 worked fine; the current version 1.0.5 isn't working for some reason I haven't figured out yet. But the problem is in software somewhere, not in the LittleRP. It didn't wor...

Re: Please Help LR with PJD7820HD
Hi Nitros, What do you mean by "came out oval"? I recognize the calibration block in your first photo and don't see anything obvious wrong with its shape. I don't know what the other objects are supposed to look like, so I've no way to tell if they have problems. In general, if the prints ...

Re: my first print Uhmmm!
Congrats! Getting anything at all out of the printer means you're on the way. That looks like the calibrationtarget_solid.stl file; if so then you've at least gotten something recognizable to start from. Certainly something is wrong and you can improve on that result. You need to troubleshoot, but y...

Re: Castable resin recommendation
Head on over to the resins forum; the top thread there is a discussion on resins for casting. Give at least the last page or so of it a read, and see if that answers your questions.

Re: Any DLP project are good
It's not a DLP projector ... it might not pass the violet and UV wavelengths of light needed to cure most resins. (But maybe it will! I'm not entirely clear on what SXRD imagers are, but at least it's not regular LCD technology which almost certainly won't work.) If you are thinking of buying it, I ...
