My very very first print with the LCD printer was a great success.
resin: fun-to-do industrial resin.
first 2 layers - 84 sec
rest of layers - 14 sec
slice: 0.05mm
print time 54 minutes
I have just started another print, but in the mean time here are the results sofar

the print would take 8+ hours
resin: fun-to-do
base layer nr: 3
base layer duration: 80+ seconds
normal layer duration: 10 seconds.

10 seconds for 0.05 layer? compared to a dlp its a eternity.
how do you see the quality of the prints? smoothness, resolution, etc ...

Do you have any specs on the UV LED? I am seeing more and more UV LED arrays out there. The issue I am having with the below LEDs are the delay start on each due to the supplied power supplys.

sodium:
i didn't find a DLP yet that have 47micron xy over an area of 120mmx68mm
the 10 seconds is because it is my second print job on this printer EVER!.
so i am reducing the layer time every time I print something - I am at 7 seconds now for 0.05mm
I have to investigate smoothness but it looks already really great
cheers,

Sodium,
7 seconds per layer can work.
I've now increased to 7.8 seconds to see results. mainly i want to check results in the corners of the print area. to see the weakness
I also want to try the daylight resin soon see speed on those..
honest expectation of the daylight resin, cutting the layer time in half.. hopefully getting to 3.5 seconds..
but i'm really ok with 7 seconds the printer just prints and has a nice build area
another pro:
plus its flex-vat design, with fep film.. where you can print 500+ hours easy.
improvement points for the manufacterer. Endstop was not calibrated correctly.. so homing you can do by pressing the printplate on the bottom of the flex vat, Null the z-axis with 'G92 Z0' command and off you go
also if you push the z-axis to high, it will run off the thread and pushes the lid up..
I actually can't wait to hook up my raspberry pi on this thing... but then using windows 10 IOT on it to control the printer
I've written a plugin to that it will work within creationworkshop
