So after being out of the US for the last 9 months traveling for work I have a couple weeks here and have been able to get all the parts I've ordered and went ahead and ordered the rest of the parts for my printer. I'll be moving to Portugal after I'm done with my current project in June and will be heading there in a few weeks for work so I'll probably finalize the build until I get there.
Build details:
Bottom up
Z-axis: 300mm of travel THK linear slide bought off ebay new for $150
Vat: Flex vat where the vat walls push down into the film to tension it. Idea is to allow use with projector or LCD
Projector: Acer H6B510BD but will play with LCD options
Ball head to level build plate to vat bottom
Build some parts out of carbon fiber due to free time and supplies at work. Vat walls, platform bracket, shutter and z-axis motor adapter

Definitely not McLaren, but it's pretty nice. It's actually a 40' container. I'm working for a team doing the Volvo Ocean Race

So I've got my build to the point where I can start printing! Overall I'm quite happy but still have a few more things to do, the biggest being an electronics enclosure and wire management. Also at some point I'll probably build a smaller vat for higher xy resolution printing.
A few more details:
In a flex vat this big, 210 x 260 there is quite a bit of load! I had to reinforce the bottom plate going from 3mm carbon plate to 6mm. Also have had some issues with the FEP ripping on the corners of the vat walls. Overall though I'm happy with my vat design where the vat walls push down into the film to create tension.
I used slot nuts in the extrusion from mounting the projector that have set screws to hold them in place. This way I can have multiple sets and be able to record the resolution settings for the different sets making it easy to change.

A few prints in fun to do black. The make rook turned out really good with the only marginal details the writing on the top. Other wise a pretty excellent print. The ctrl v test block has given me a lot of problems and I haven't got one to turn out good yet... Hopefully I'll get some more time soon to print more. In the mean time work is in the way

have you calibrated the projector yet? if some sides of the piece print succesfully but the others sides or corners not, i think you must use a mask.
im in the process to implement mine in the acer 6510. without mask, i think it will be impossible to use the entire build plate at once.
