Hi,
When i started also with this machine it took me some time, so here is the procedure for direct ethernet and wifi configuration.

first you must do a backup of your sd card with Win32DiskImager and a pc. look on internet for this.
then go download Notepad++ , will be used to modify settings in your sd card config.
in your SD card look for octopi-network.txt and open it with notepad++

for wifi,
according to your security, use the WAP/WAP2 or WEP block aand then remove in front of each line the SINGLE #
enter the SSID and password between the quotes. Care SSID must match the real SSID of your router.

EG: i have WAP secure wifi with SSID= HomeWIFI and passowrd as = notyourbusiness.
it will look like this:
## WPA/WPA2 secured
iface wlan0-octopi inet manual
wpa-ssid "HomeWIFI"
wpa-psk "notyourbuisness"
KEEP the " " for ssid and pass...

for ethernet
simple connection without internet access for the machine.
look fo this at the bottom of octopi-network.txt
#auto eth0:1
#iface eth0:1 inet static
# address 192.168.250.1
# netmask 255.255.255.0
# broadcast 192.168.250.255

Change fix IP address and netmask.
remove the # for every lines
the rest is not important at the moment.
it will look like this.
auto eth0:1
iface eth0:1 inet static
address 10.10.10.5 Machine new IP
netmask 255.255.255.0 MAchine new mask
#broadcast 192.168.250.255 do not remove the # for this line.

save the modifyed octopi-network.txt.
replace theSD card in the PI3.
power the machine and wait few seconds.

on the computer you use to connect with the machine,
go to the ethernet / properties
open Internet Protocol Version 4
enter new fix IP for computer following the Machine IP format 10.10.10.2
then Subnet Mask as 255.255.255.0

now plug the ethernet cable
Use mozzilla browser or opera, then type 10.10.10.5:9091
and you will access yout Photonic machine.

in your router find the IP of your machine wifi, and you can connect with wifi as well.

This is only very fast help, for better understanding, go to this web site and they explain everything well.
http://www.circuitbasics.com/how-to-con ... net-cable/
http://www.circuitbasics.com/raspberry- ... less-mode/
http://www.circuitbasics.com/raspberry- ... fi-dongle/
you can learn also in this website basic SSH to avoid removing your SD card and go directly in the machine settings. it help lot.

Remember FIRST BACKUP the SD card.

Nice day.

Hey Guys,

I am looking for a new SLA/DLP-Printer.
I work with some different 3D printing processes. I also built a view different (FDM) Printer in the last time but i have no skills with SLA. Now i want to discover the SLA world. :)

So my question is, what is the over all result for this Printer?
Would you buy it again? What are the pro and cons?
Is it easy to use/ to install? Driver? Programms? :?:

Or is it better to build an own one with an LCD (but i don´t have so much time for this...)

Thanks a lot!!!!! :)

Greats from Bavarian

Hi guys,
These are my 35 micron printing tests with my modified YHD-101 (50W uv led). Layer time was 4.5sec it was printing for 3 hours.
The base under the head is around 7cm long. Resin is FTD IB primed with a light coat of grey primer.

Hi Odd, it is a Zbrush model. Made for a game called Hellblade, done by some talented artists at Ninja Theory. I'm working on a bust that hopefully will see the light when the game comes out.

Cabo beautiful printing and 3d model also, congratulations,
I contacted James to ask for an update on the new model, and if it is available for the model that we use, improved Z axis (maybe HIWIN) because this printer deserves the best
