Mandrea,
do you have a Fresnel lens below your LCD module? Are there advantages?

since you've decided to major renovations, I recommend putting a Fresnel lens below the LCD screen

Yes I ordered out two different ones in order to see which is best.

Also ordered 50 3 watt UV LED's don't know how many will be used, but good to have extra.

I bought two different brands and will try them out with the UV panel I'm building, let you all know the progress next week.

Hallo,

@russiansgems, I saw a post from you with the lcd and a mikroskope picture with a crack.
Have you seen normal RGB colour filters? I do a litte research, how to modify LCD for UV-light and I think there are 2 possible uv-light filters in the LCD:

1. RGB color Filters wich filters other wavelengths
2. Materials with filter properties. Fore example some Polymers and glases filtered also UV-light. I found some informatione of an acrylic glas poylmere which is developed for terrariums.

I know you can not change a LCD production for some 3d printing guys so I am searching of possibilities to modify the LCDs. Maybe it is possibel to remove the RGB filters, but I think the glas plates are glued together.

Regards

The plates are glued or fused in some cases and I don't see any way to separate. Back lit LCD's are still the way to go and with a successful UV LED panel it can be super fast in printing. But I also like the Pico base 3D printers.

Ok Folk,
the resin FTD Industrial Blend arrived,
I immediately put at work the "baby",
response: The printer would be exceptional if it had a more precise Z axis (see wedeling effect), I ordered an anti backlash to solve the problem

50W led mod for the printer. Huge fan and fresnel lens, 50W led driver. Done a test with Funtodo IB at 50 microns, the layer time is down from 10 sec to 5 sec.

Hey Cabo,

Excellent work !!

Any chance you could post a list of the components needed and a quick list of steps ??

..and perhaps a photo of the item you test printed ?

The only reason I haven't attempted this is the concerns of "overcooking" the resin ?

Cheers :)

This is the fan+lens: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252683611628? ... EBIDX%3AIT

Led driver: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10W-20W ... 0.0.1hxgpK

50W Led: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/High-Po ... 0.0.1hxgpK

I've cut a bigger hole on the bottom to fit the bigger fan and added taller legs to allow for the extra space needed.

The image is a paper over the LCD, it is a bit uneven, but nothing too extreme.
