com58 shows up because that's the serial port I use on my machine. I copied my machine configuration into the release so you can just modify it. You com port # will probably be different. The projector serial control is so you can connect to the serial port on the back of the projector (if it has one) and send commands to it to do things like turn on/off, change brightness/contrast etc...

okay, i understand that point, but its not necessary at all? i can still use nullmachine (or something like that ) and push the slices on the projector?

You should still be able to use the null machine to 'connect' to a virtual device and use the projector just fine.
