Pausing in CW

So what's the proper procedure for resuming after a pause.
I usually pause a few layers in and raise the build platform up to see if I have decent adhesion. I was under the impression that if I move it down to where it was and pressing the resume button things would just continue. Not the case, it seems to pile drive itself downwards upon resuming.
So what am I doing wrong or is this a bug?

Huh, that's weird. I pause and resume, doing exactly what you're describing, all the time. Post some of your gcode?

It sounds like CWS is trying to remember where it was when it paused, and moves back to that position... What happens if you pause CWS, move the stepper up, then resume? Does it go to the correct place automatically?

I too am interested in the proper way to pause. I've only tried it a couple times and each time I pause; jog up; then press play to resume; the z always seemed to go to z- zero and dive my part into my flex vat. I never tried it again. I would use this feature all the time (like I do on my CNC mill) but don't dare until I have time to test more.
