Please move 'Home' button!!

Postby wirebender » Sun May 31, 2015 10:33 pm

I'm probably the only one who's done this...I went to press the 'lift' (or whatever you call it) button, which is right under the 'Home' button and hit the wrong one! The build on the plate kept the printer from reaching the end stop and by the time I remembered how to shut it off my couplers were stretched to over twice their normal length! At least I know now that the cheap window pane I bought at Lowe's for the bottom of my vat is up to that kind of load!

It would seem reasonable that since the 'Home' button moves the build plate in the opposite direction of the lift (at least when building bottom up) it should be a bit distant from the column. Just a thought...

I have thought same think once or two times. believe me. if not move the botton to another location, maybe a confirmation window could prevent a disaster.

For those of us using smaller tablet PC's, I was wondering if you could make the most used buttons larger. The Home, Z+, etc buttons are tough to pick with a fat finger on a tiny 8" screen. The menu bar buttons for Play, Pause, Stop are very selectable. There are only a couple buttons that we use on a daily basis and the z-up buttons are one of them (and I have been caught pressing the Home button by accident more than once). Thanks in advance!

I also find the home proximity to the z move buttons some times frustrating but not as bad. I run the home as z max so it's more of a slow trip to the top for me....
