Sucessful CastSolid print and Metal Cast..
Here are a couple pictures of my latest metal cast from the MadeSolid .. CastSolid resin. I had a couple of unsuccessful attempts at making a decent metal cast until I found a formula for the investment. Here is the formula I used from the MJSA website.. http://www.mjsa.org/publicationsmedia/t ... els_part_2 . It involves using the addition of boric acid and calcium nitrate tetrahydrate in the investment. I am very pleased with the results and will be making more metal casts.

What I have found out is that the models can only be left in the IPA for about 10 seconds or so and washed off with water for about 5 seconds, even 30 seconds in the IPA is to long. When the model is dried off, I immediately put it under the UV nail dryer, I have been leaving models under the UV nail dryer for about 3 hours. The cracks in the models happen because of leaving the model in the IPA to long. The model should be cast somewhat soon after being put under the UV lamp.

It would be great if you would share your exposure settings with us, I've been wanting to try out CastSolid for sometime but have scene mixed results. Your prints look great!

Castsolid in my testing has a bit of bleed so I am wondering if there is a benefit to <100micron layers.
I should also add that Makerjuice is set to come out with a casting resin where the primary testing was done on a LittleRP and holds detail excellently.
