Is this Ok for Z-axis?

Hi everyone. It`s my first post in this forum.
I want to ask if such item is Ok for using it as Z-axis?

That looks like it will work well. You'll be able to make some really tall prints with a 300mm axis.

Thank you for answer.

But I`m worried about 8 mm pitch. So at one rotation
of stepper motor the platform will move 8 mm.

If I use 1.8°/step stepper driver in 1/8 microstep mode
will my system be precise enough?

Taking a calculator should give you the ability to easily calculate the precision in z-axis. some 50µm should be ok.
