Everyone is saying buy a full HD projector for the SLA printer. I understand, but my wallet doesn't just yet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Jack purchases a 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) and he focuses it on a large vat, let's say like the 280mm by 200mm flex vat of the mUVe printer, then the ultimate resolution on the wide measure is 280mm/1920, which is .145mm per pixel.
And I just purchased a SVGA DLP projector off Craigslist for $40. It has a native resolution of 800 X 600 pixels. If I focus it down on a vat that for an 80mm by 60mm size, then my print resolution in this smaller area would be .1mm per pixel. Higher resolution than Jacks printer, but it cannot print a large object like his machine.
Is this correct? Is anyone aware of any tests with resins that define what the ultimate resolution capacity is?
