Photocentric has joined the opensla Google group. They have used this adafruit screen and driver with a cure time of 65 seconds. They are using the iPhone 6 as-is not modified.

Took me a little while to get accepted but was able to read regardless. Any updates with your progress?

Any thoughts on using the unmodified screens even though the exposure time is a bit longer? I mean a nice little piece of equipment would be a stand alone printer that anyone could just slide an iPad into and lower the vat to sit right on top. Kind of a big olo. Run the iPad with some kind of mirror app like the duet or something.
An iPad pro capable machine would have a footprint of around 12x12 (estimating) and be able to output a print equivalent to that of an fdm printer twice that size. Even though the layer time is longer than that of some other dlp printers the sheer volume seems to make up for it to me.

Photocentric basically confirmed exactly what you have found. They posted in the Google group.
