The same is happening to me, I updated .net until the most recent version supported by this OS (4.0.3) and CW won't run. I suspect that it might work with newer versions of .net (like 4.5 and up) but we can't install these ones on XP.

Is CW compatible with windows XP? It runs fine on my Windows 7 PC but doesn't start in Win XP.
