Re: Formulas for home brewed photosensitive resins.
@seasicksinbad: Great, looking forward to following your progress. I just bought a pound of clear epoxy form smooth-on and ordered a sample of a cationic photoinitiator to start experimenting. I also ordered Sun Cure Ultra Violet Catalyst UVC 2000, which I plan on mixing with polyester resin ( fiber...

Re: Formulas for home brewed photosensitive resins.
I would like to see the development of a vegitable based UV resin. The following papers indicate that it's possible, or offer introductions to the topic. A Fully Biobased Epoxy Resin from Vegetable Oils: From the Synthesis of the Precursors by Thiol-ene Reaction to the Study of the Final Material Ma...

Dizingof 4 Jan 2013 Funny thing, got Bank mail wrapped with nano translucent sheet. Immediately tested it on a UV resin.. Peels amazingly fast & clean https://twitter.com/dizingof/status/287188155721990144 I think the translucent sheet is acetate. Looks like the clear window in envelops is myla...

Re: Acetat membrane with a resin film recoater, eliminates v
PE is an excellent mold release, apply it with a hair dryer. There are lots of tapes that can be tested. I've used stretch, shrink wrap for an epoxy mold release, it leaves a mirror smooth finish if you stretch it tight. Stretch wrap is difficult to get rid of all the wrinkles on a large surface. SU...

A clear view of the acetate film DLP printer.
You can also see there is a take up roller on the right to present a new surface to print on.

Re: Acetat membrane with a resin film recoater, eliminates v
I was unsuccessful at locating a liquid acetate to cast. I only found film, injection mold use, and fibers. Cellulose acetate (CA). Cellulose acetate propionate (CAP). Cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) high ultraviolet stability. Good paper on the properties of acetate. But it's used as an ingredient...

Re: First semi-successful print
I think additional re-sampling choices would be a very popular feature. As a lot of effort by many people is put into achieving the ideal surface finish.
