Re: Struggling with Display2 Configuration in latest release
Interestingly enough, replacing DISPLAY1 with DISPLAY2 in the Default_SLA.machine XML file worked! Thank you! :D Here is my new .machine file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <MachineConfig FileVersion="1"> <PlatformXSize>58.5</PlatformXSize> <PlatformYSize>43.88...

Re: Struggling with Display2 Configuration in latest release
Ok here is my Default_SLA.machine file. Notice the characters in <MonitorID>: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <MachineConfig FileVersion="1"> <PlatformXSize>58.5</PlatformXSize> <PlatformYSize>43.88</PlatformYSize> <PlatformZSize>100</PlatformZSize> <MaxXFeedRate...

Re: Struggling with Display2 Configuration in latest release
Yep, when I have the projector ON and plugged in to the VGA port, DISPLAY2 comes up as a valid, selectable display that I can move over to the Configured side. It just errors out any time I try to APPLY it... I'll give that a shot tonight - manually editing the .machine file and swapping out DISPLAY...

Struggling with Display2 Configuration in latest release
Ok, I had a very strange experience with CW last night. I'm attempting to use a Windows XP laptop to run the latest CW rc9 for my LittleSLA resin printer. CW and LittleSLA run fine under Windows 8.1 using Extended Desktop (Win-P), but I just could NOT get it configured properly under WinXP. I can on...

Re: Formulas for home brewed photosensitive resins.
Currently the bulk of the products on the market are non-vegetable-based formulations. That said, "green" chemistry would be nice, but it'll also come at a cost. Are you willing to pay a premium for a vegetable/bio-based formulation?

Re: Join us on IRC!
A real easy way to get on is to head over to http://webchat.freenode.net/, enter "#dlp3dprinting" (minus the quotation marks) into the Channel box. There's always someone there idling.

Re: Possible pdms vat refresh method
I'm trying to use the scientific method to find what works and what doesn't. If the pressure pot is not needed, why do it? I'm not trying to prove anyone right or wrong and unfortunately I think we're getting off on the wrong foot here... :( I read the paper on PDMS swelling based on solvent-type (h...

Re: Possible pdms vat refresh method
I go with what works. The method I'm using is a variation on the b9 and solidator methods of refreshing the release layer which work via refresh of the pdms/fep surface oxygen layer. The method I'm using works for me. If you have the equipment I would be happy to know what results you have using va...

Re: Possible pdms vat refresh method
The non stick property of pdms, as it applies to 3d printing, is a surface effect caused by a thin layer of oxygen on the surface of the pdms that inhibits curing of the resin ensuring that a layer of liquid resin is between the build plate and the vat floor during layer exposures, sticking occurs ...
