Re: Monochrome LCD SLA 3D Printer.
This post covers much of the info on using monochrome LCD's with resins that cure from violet through green. http://www.buildyourownsla.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=84&start=210#p9616 UV LED's are higher cost and less efficient than blue 460nm LED's. The standard filters and polarizers use...

Re: e-ink display rather than DLP, Laser, LCD?
LCD projectors work well with resins made to cure with blue light.
For example: http://bucktownpolymers.com/zve200-v470.html
They make hundreds of formulas that cure with blue light.

Re: UV-LCD pico projector
There is no need to replace the blue led with a UV led. Just use resins made to cure with blue light.

Re: 7" Raspberry Pi LCD screen, unfortunally not usable
The panels passes 460nm Blue light just fine. Just use resins made to cure at over 460nm.
For instance: http://bucktownpolymers.com/zve200-v470.html
Or ask them about other blends for your applications using blue light.

Re: LCD Based 3D Printer - Introduction
I'm hoping to clear up a bit of confusion of how the LCD panels work with lithography. If you examine the structure of a LCD you'll notice that not all the light that enters the display passes through the display. A RBG LCD pixel is actually made up of three sub-pixels, red, green and blue plus the ...

Re: Can I use one 3LCD projector model
We have been using the 3-LCD Epson projectors for years. You just need resins that are sensitive up into the Blue spectrum ~460nm. Use resins that cure from UV up past Blue like these: http://bucktownpolymers.com/zve200-v470.html The "consumer" resins only cure from UV up to just past 410n...

Re: Retina iPad Display
The Epson LCD projectors don't pas any UV since they use three separate LCD's each with their own bandpass Red (635nm), Green (530nm), Blue (460nm) filter. The LED based mini or pico projectors only use Red (635nm), Green (530nm), Blue (460nm) The -V470 versions of the Bucktown Polymers resins are s...

Re: Blue sensitive resin
The http://bucktownpolymers.com/zve200-v470.html is sensitive from UV to >500nm and is designed for LED, Pico and LCD projectors. The spota 470 used a very slow photoinitiator Hnu-470. Yhe ZVE200-V470 uses a very fast and sensitive photoinitiator. They can also blend just about any resin to work fro...

Re: bucktownpolymers ps102-v420
The PS102-V420 is not for burnout applications. It's a polyester with fillers that won't burn out well. The ZVE200 or ZVE500 versions will burn out completely. http://bucktownpolymers.com/rcpolymers00.html Another option for casting applications are the water soluble resins. After curing and ceramic...

Re: Blue light cured resin
The http://bucktownpolymers.com/zve200-v470.html is sensitive to over 500nm. That is why it works with unmodified Pico, LED and LCD projectors. Many of the smaller pico projectors use LED's vs a wide spectrum lamp. The LED's used for Blue are centered around 460nm. The other resins tend to use BAPO ...
