Re: Print Cycle in CW

Won't the build plate still have to over come the suction to lift the Z-axis up 4 mm? @A2 The B9 VAT is divided into two parts: 1) the deep end 2) the shallow end The shallow end is the half where the exposure takes place, that's where you have the glass window and the PDMS. The PDMS flows over a s...

Re: Spam Spam Spam

Hi goopyplastic, thanks for the hint - I am sorry that you got deleted - but in my eyes the action was the only possibility to somewhat be ahead of the spammers, and that was well worth the risk, to kick a real user out. Just again I had to delete 11 users, at least 9 of them had a clear Spam-profil...

Re: Spam Spam Spam

Hi all, an additional action that was taken, was to permanently delete users that - 1 - had never posted 2 - had a weird name such as "5kf7zem87kz" 3 - and had a URL in their profile similar to "www.russianpo**n.ru/joinnow.html" The forum has been decimated from 700 somewhat user...

Re: raspberry pi Silent boot

Since the RaspPi has only one HDMI output, does that mean you are using the only output to power the DLP Projector,
without having an additional control screen ?

Re: Spam Spam Spam

Hey all, PacManFan reacted quickly and just made me an Administrator and a Moderator. I'll be looking out for SPAM as well now and may propose some measures to protect us all from those mean Spambots. I've taken two measures already: 1) When new users want to register, they now have to solve a Captc...

Spam Spam Spam

Hey Come on Mods This is a really great forum. If you don't get this Spam deleted or implement some sort of Spam Protection (Adding a Captcha would probably greatly reduce Spam), then this forum will just die. If you want, I am willing to help moderating this forum, or I can assist installing a Capt...

Re: Top down wins...

I would think that the level drop from resin shrinkage would be negligable (Unless you are printing something very large that nearly fills your build tank). One other thing to consider would be the displacement from the platform supports (not the platform that is already in the tank) as they lower ...

Re: "Bottom Up" versus "Top Down" Style of 3D Printer

Hey Glacian, thank you for those concerns. Do you have any idea as to what kind of minimum layer thicknesses would be possible, with a standard Resin like from SpotAMaterials or FTD or similar? I am thinking also about one more problem: As the buildplattform is lowered into the resin, the rod that h...

"Bottom Up" versus "Top Down" Style of 3D Printer

Hi Makers, the reason why we all have to struggle with PDMS, Teflon films (FEP), or similar, is because we have built (or purchased) bottom up systems. The projector or laser diode sits underneath the resin tank with transparent bottom and a non-stick surface (such as PDMS or FEP / Teflon) and point...

Re: Resin Suppliers

Just a quick note on the FunToDo and Spot-HT Resin from spot A materials. We tried several prints with the FunToDo red Resin, It does cure very fast (one second curing time), but it's quite flexible. Fine details do get ripped of if not well supported by supports. I am also noticing very fine cracks...
