Re: Solus High Resolution DLP 3D Printer
Very Cool! Looks like a rendering straight from Zbrush :) EDIT: now i feel stupid for not reading the whole thread, sorry. You guys already talked about the vat, so no further questions ;) "Do you mind telling us about that peeling technology? Do you have it patented? Is it PFA or FEP or maybe ...

Re: Carbon 3D
Sounds good ;) Do you have any sources for TPX? I've talked to a polymer scientist, who wanted to contact mitsui for samples, but haven't heard back yet :/ My idea : - Flex VAT with TPX (PMP) membrane , permeable to O2. - below the membrane with a small gap (5mm ? ) thin glass sheet / of PMMA or PC ...

Re: Carbon 3D
looks interesting, but how is the oxygen supposed to penetrate through to the center of the vat? To me it seems like it's just gonna bubble out from the sides and maybe oxygenate the resin. Can you share your thoughts on how it's gonna work? cheers Honestly, I think that would be more useful to that...

Re: Carbon 3D
As was duscussed here for a long time now, PDMS can absorb oxygen, but only so much. That's why the first layers always peel off much better than after you are 1000 layers in. There were experiments done with saturating the pdms under pressure right before a print which was at least to some part suc...

Re: Acer H6510BD image offset from projector
the distance could be right, but for the offset from the bottom edge you need to consider that the projector is projecting "up". The bottom edge of the projection is roughtly at about the same height as the center of the lens (no matter how far you go), which might be about 3cm. i'd rather...

Re: Carbon 3D
You are absolutely right, and further more it also depends on the shape of the blob. a 1 pixel long line will need less time then a round spot of the same area. And also, a very thin but closed outline circle, might behave similar to a filled circle even though it uses a fraction of the area, since...

Re: Carbon 3D
So this means we would need the slicer to output the area based on calculating the maximum "blob" area. There won't be much suction force if the projection area is spread over a lot of tiny parts, rather than concentrated in one part. Maybe it would be possible to add a variable $maxArea t...
