Re: Is LittleRP worth for Jewellery
@mattasmack could you please tell me what projector did you get? Oh, the projector is nothing special. It's a Sharp Notevision PG-F261X. It has only 1024x768 resolution, but I was trying to build a printer for minimal cost and I found this one on Ebay for fifty bucks with a working lamp. To get rea...

Re: Is LittleRP worth for Jewellery
I'm using B9's Emerald resin. I don't have much to compare it to; the only other resin I've used is MakerJuice's G+, which I used while getting the printer up and running initially. I really appreciate how the pigment doesn't settle out, but the high viscosity is vexing sometimes. I'm still tweaking...

Re: Resins For Investment Casting
WaxCast seems to be casting very well. I am still adjusting coming from the B9 resins insofar as temps and curing. However, following the Waxcast docs for casting gives a very good baseline so far. Those look nice! What orientation did you print them in? (It looks like there are some lines on the r...

Re: Is LittleRP worth for Jewellery
I would say yes, it's good enough. I believe printing jewelry is what it was designed for. The quality of the print is down to the projector you use and how you set it up. I built my LittleRP on the cheap and am using an old projector I got off Ebay for ~$50, so its resolution is coarse. I have abou...

Re: Print waviness or wrinkling
I haven't followed up here because I had trouble getting anything printed at all for a while. (Turned out I just needed to clean and re-sand the build platform.) It looks like my problem with the waviness was software rather than hardware. Specifically, Creation Workshop Host (now Photonic3D) runnin...

Re: Print waviness or wrinkling
Ahh, phooey. Experimentation it is, then! I've been preoccupied for the past couple of weeks but am getting back to the printer now. Starting with some prints with my current settings and paying more attention to where and when the waviness shows up, then I'll get into mechanical checks and adjustme...

Re: B9_yellow castable resin.
Are you using Creation Workshop to control your printer or generate a job? If so, you need to increase the "lift and sequence time" parameter. As far as whatever is running your printer is concerned, the gcode lines that move the platform happen instantly. That parameter tells the program ...

Re: Print waviness or wrinkling
Ah, that sounds different from what I'm experiencing. Shoot. I don't think I have the setup or print settings for my LittleRP right, so prints aren't quite as I'd like them to be, but at this point I don't know what needs adjusting. I'm using a flexvat from HLocke (projectsinterestsandetcetera.com),...

My pleasure! Best of luck with it.
