Re: Blue sensitive resin
I was lucky enough to be able to try out some of the Spot-A 470PI. I used the 470PI with the Low viscosity resin. Its very potent stuff, only needed about 5g of PI for the 1kg of resin. It mixes very easily. I was hoping it would help with my LCD based printer as I was using a special coral MH bulb ...

Re: Solidator Vat Release Patent
Could this be made to work with a fluid instead of air? would something like water or some other fluid be able to carry and release enough oxygen through the film to allow the oxygen inhibition layer to form? Maybe when the layer is printing the film is resting against the vat bottom and when the pa...

Re: Solidator Vat Release Patent
FEP is an oxygen permeable membrane. Solidator uses a pocket of air between the FEP film and the glass window of the vat bottom, that pocket of air has a constant air flow from a compressor. No pressure build up, just constant air flow. Since FEP is oxygen permeable, air can pass through the membra...

PDMS vs FEP vs Others?
Hey guys, Im redesigning my printer and wanting to try something different for my VAT coating. I have a bottom up printer and im using a 1mm thick layer of PDMS on glass. The release works ok and its nice and even and clear but now my issue is swelling and clouding of the PDMS after several prints. ...

Re: New Builder - LCD Based 3D Printer - Introduction
Im not sure why you all are so keen on tearing off your polarizers? The system works with the factory polarizers with no little issue so I dont see an advantage to taking them off and replacing them since there isnt ones without UV filters and also the UV filter probably helps the LCD last longer as...

LCD Based 3D Printer - Introduction
I moved this thread over from the introductions forum, I was very much off topic there and getting quite large. We can continue with the conversation here. I left the first 3 posts of this thread back in the introductions forum. That is why it seems like the thread is missing the beginning. well, i ...

LCD Based 3D Printer - Introduction
Hello, I just joined this group and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Nick and I am building a LCD based 3D printer. I have several years building and designing all sorts of machine and prototypes. I will be using a LCD as a mask instead of the DLP chip that the DLP projector based printers use...
