B9_yellow castable resin.

Hi all, Anybody had good results with this? I would like to know what your exposure settings are too. I'm using an unmodified Acer P1500 with flexvat. Many thanks! Just to add, I've been trying to print with this with epic failures! :( The resin just doesn't stick to my plate!!!!! Got the first 10 l...

Re: Shrinkage?

So your calibration prints are all coming out fine but the ring is still coming out way too small? You didn't mention how the calibration on Z was; be sure to test that as well. I'd say that's hinting at an issue with the file itself. Maybe the STL is being auto scaled by half somewhere in the soft...

Re: Shrinkage

Okay, so it turns out my calibrations are actually okay on X and Y. My 20x20x5 block is to close tolerations however I'm still getting a ring two sizes smaller than the original. I noticed though that whilst printing the ring, the supports on the base are almost non-existent. The ring shank seems to...

Re: Shrinkage?

It happens. Just in varying degrees. Normally it's only around <3%, but it's highly dependent on design, temp, and material. If your prints are 150% off then I'd say it sounds more like a calibration issue and not a shrinkage one. Ok thanks. So I guess a ring that's two sizes down is a huge percent...

Shrinkage?

So there's lot's of talk on the internet about shrinkage. Some say it happens and some say it doesn't.

After calibration, my ring came out about a size and a half too small. Is this shrinkage or another reason to re-calibrate?

Any jewellery designers come across this issue?

Yes it did help to a great degree. However I was making a huge error of not making any measurements with the VAT in place! I was plac...

Calibration help please!

Attempted to print a couple of things.

A ring came out quite oval shaped.

The calibration grid has overhanged of the build plate.

Some detailed steps on how to calibrate would be amazing!

The overhung grid measures 62x37 so hoe this helps.

Re: Little RP and FLex Vat

Hi there! These look excellent! I've just started to use my LittleRP for jewellery making too. So far my prints and calibration are way off! My ring appeared squashed!! Perhaps you might have some tips for me to get things going properly? How exactly do you adjust resolution in CW? Sorry, completely...
