Re: FTD (FunToDo) resins on LittleRP?
My pigments came in the same pots, but the package included two 3ml syringes (with caps). How did you came up with exactly 14 drops? Did you try other pigmentation levels, like 10 or 18 drops? Systematically worked up from 2 drops/30ml in 2 drop increments. Took some time and I now have a separate ...

Re: FTD (FunToDo) resins on LittleRP?
Much appreciate, thank you. By "a bit", what sort of magnitude? 10%? 5%?

Re: FTD (FunToDo) resins on LittleRP?
What? You got a syringe? I have little pots I had to decant into a syringe, so dropped from that... My next task is to use a 1ml syringe and get a more accurate measurement of what "14 drops" really equates to for scaling up. Brightness on the projector was set to 50 out of the box; I've d...

Re: FTD (FunToDo) resins on LittleRP?
Progress. I'm currently using 14 drops of pigment (supplied by Danny) per 30ml of resin; I've reduced the power on the projector from 50 to 25 and switched to 35u layers. Currently using 1900ms per layer (2400ms base); no antialiasing. Post-cure was 10 mins in the ultrasonic @ 35C (with a jewellery ...

Re: New Creation Workshop RPi Host
What's the current status of this? Installed the latest update yesterday; it runs, but I can't seem to get any response from the printer. Using the autodetected printer, /dev/ttyUSB0, display :0.0; started the printer and clicked on enable motors. Tried driving the Z axis and there's no visible resp...

Re: Casting With the LittleRP
That does sound an incredibly long time for exposure - part of the reason I'm messing with the FTD resin at the moment. Still, the results look good. I wonder at times on how much we should worry about model surface finish - given the casting will leave a finish that needs to be polished off, do we ...

Interesting. I have a roll of 3M 9500 sat around - http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/e ... ape-9500PC
It's a bit thinner than yours, it also claims solvent resistance; I wonder how that would hold up?

Re: FTD (FunToDo) resins on LittleRP?
Current recommendation from Danny @ FTD is add more pigment, so I'll mix some in and do another test. I think this one comes out part-cured and is reliant upon the post-cure process to finish, rather than e.g. SF which seems pretty well cured once exposed.

Re: Adhesive for the light hood
Tensol 12 does work extremely well. Wicks into the joints nicely and leaves a good finish.

Re: FTD (FunToDo) resins on LittleRP?
How are you getting on with the FTD resin? I've got a bottle of industrial red (with a couple of extra pots of pigment); so far I'm not getting any good results - I suspect light bleed is an issue. Finer detail is lost at 1s layer exposure time, but at 800ms it doesn't have the strength in 2x1mm sec...
