Re: LittleRP proving to be a waste of time!

Hiren I think that if the resin is sticking to the FEP rather than the build plate the thickness of the cured resin is thinner than the distance between the build plate and the FEP film so the first layers are not attaching to the build plate. I would try the resin pigment dilution trick, also your ...

Re: LittleRP proving to be a waste of time!

The very high FEP tension my vats are designed to produce tend to take care of the resin "squeeze out" problem even on base layers especially if you use long base exposures (the base exposures and regular exposures can be different in CW). The .005 (.127mm) FEP used on my vats is an extrem...

Re: LittleRP proving to be a waste of time!

see the second to last paragraph of my first post, it covers diluting resin pigment. Increase the tension on your fep, it appears to be low (make sure the gasket and FEP are tightly clamped, the gaskets should be fully crushed). you may need to raise you vats zero position a bit. You will have to co...

Re: LittleRP proving to be a waste of time!

Hiren I am not sure if you were using my vat so this is some advice for people who are using or are considering using self printed vats: If you FDM print a vat the infill value of all of the parts should be very high absolute minimum 50%, I suggest using the highest infill you can manage or even sol...

Re: LittleRP proving to be a waste of time!

hirenashra ---------------------------------------------- Edit: I have read a couple of your other posts and I believe the problems you are having are because of over pigmented resin or a "high" first layer. If you are doing 80 second base exposures and the parts are not sticking to the bu...

reservoir vats

I have been working on some new vat designs that you might find interesting. Both the large and small vats have "reservoirs" which allow for more resin in the vat without risking overflows, the design also gives the resin somewhere to go when the build plate raises and drops during printin...

Re: Problems with the FEP Vat..

I think you can get your setup corrected quickly by using the following information as a template. make sure your image is in focus and square, there are tips on this in the link I mentioned earlier. measure the width of the image (a cheap harbor freight digital caliper is perfect for this), do not ...

Re: Problems with the FEP Vat..

Maybe I should chime in here. The flexvat "focal plane" sits approximately 21mm above the LittleRP base plate. As noted above if you just adjust focus the image on the focal plane will be larger than on the petri dish (xy resolution is lower = resolution in microns is larger = bigger pixel...
