Re: List of Resin-safe materials for vat/build plate
It seems really hard to find out this information without learning some more chemistry myself. My list so far includes: Glass Aluminium Steel (I did read somewhere this could cause some reaction though and needs confirmation) PLA Acrylic List that do NOT work include: ABS If anyone can add to this l...

Re: Torque wrench for tightening flexvat bolts
@hegykc - that vat looks really nice. I've been trying to find out what materials are safe for use with the resins and wondering how much use you've had with the acrylic vat and if you notice any adverse reaction to the resin?

List of Resin-safe materials for vat/build plate
I was wondering if we have any chemists on the forum that would be able to help out with what plastics and metals are safe for contact with photopolymer resins?

Re: Kobo Arc 10.1
I suggest reviewing the discussions on the LCD based SLA:

Also the iPad screen:

It's not so simple to use an LCD screen for SLA.

Re: Servo...reduce noise
If the servo wires are very long, you could try adding a capacitor at the servo end to help smooth out some of the noise.

Re: Projector focus area
The projector shouldn't focus on the mirror. That being said, the top (closest to the vat) should be almost in focus and the bottom well out of focus. Think about focus as the lens bending light so that, no matter where on the lens the light is passing through, it will hit the same point on the foca...

I would think silicon would be best.

Interlacing for continuous printing?
I was just wondering if anyone has tried using a sort of interlacing to allow for continuous (or close to) printing? My idea is that you would have the layer divided into lines that are maybe 1mm wide and alternate which lines to hide alternately so that it would allow separation of one layer (and c...

Re: multi-layered VAT caused too many reflections
Looking in the picture, it looks like you are also using a 45 degree mirror. Are you using a first surface mirror? If not, you will also get terrible double reflections similar to what's pictured.
