HTL: Could you re-run your experiment and not do the pressure pot step? It would be very interesting to see if cleaning the surface with IPA followed by the vacuum-only step would yield the same results. It's possible that through use the PDMS is absorbing a bit of resin/monomer and that the vacuum ...

Heat Resistance of PMP from that link:

"The non stickiness polymethylpentene film can be used in a high temperature range of 200°C. Since the melting point of TPX is approximately 230°C (446°F), the film can be used in any process even at 200°C (392°F) adequately."

The reason the PDMS works well is that it is gas permiable and the resin won't cure in the presence of oxygen. A very thin layer of uncured resin exists so there is no mechanical bond. Teflon doesn't share this property but is pretty slippery stuff and is more durable. I pondered using the PDMS to ...
