Re: Regular Band Pattern on Surfaces
Thanks for the input everyone. I will try prerendering today. A flex bottom vat and a slight reconfiguration of my z-axis drive is still in the plan. Working on a vat design that will have a 3D printed part or two and some machined aluminum.

Re: Regular Band Pattern on Surfaces
I had the issue in the latest version 21 and now I messed with the settings in 15 and I lost my good print settings. :/ It's pausing during layer cycles etc as of an hour ago. Going to have to see if I can remove anything related to CW and try a fresh download and see what happens, not sure why it'...

Re: Regular Band Pattern on Surfaces
Thanks for the input Finhead. I'm going to build a flex bottom. I thought a passive tilt would be good, but it still takes a surprising amount of load to release the parts from it. Which version of CW did you find works properly? I'm using the newest one and I wonder if I am getting different cure t...

Re: Regular Band Pattern on Surfaces
The "nut" is two brass nuts with a spring perched on a flange between them. I should be able to try back mounting my screw fairly easily. Running a test with dial indicator right now to see if I can narrow down what's going on. Edit: My measuring rig is not rigid enough to withstand the sh...

Re: Regular Band Pattern on Surfaces
Thank you for your responses guys. I have attached a picture of all my 50 micron exposure testing so far. I started at 7 Sec (bottom right) and worked down to 3.8 (BL), 2.8(TR), and finally the 1.8(TL) I uploaded before. They all look pretty similar with the exception that I left the top of the 7 se...

Regular Band Pattern on Surfaces
Hello everyone, I am having a problem with banding on the surface of my prints. I am printing with MakerJuice red G+ at 0.05 mm 2.8S exposure time. https://www.dropbox.com/s/f6l23zjub26sts7/2014-07-24%2008.55.37.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/uyj8twoqvdtkl5y/2014-07-24%2008.54.18.jpg I recently finis...

Kudo3D Vat Release Patent
I'm not sure on the details of who developed this particular release system but these guys seem to be trying to patent something that may have been created here: In addition, Titan 1 is equipped with a proprietary patent-pending layer release (passive self-peeling) technology based on a flexible VAT...
