Re: Tilt&slide
Did some testing today with the roughened aluminum build plate and bare glass. This was done off the machine. I used two pieces of blue painters tape to set the layer thickness and put about 4-6 drops of SubG+ on the plate then place the glass on top. In every case the cured resin stuck to the alumi...

Re: print not sticking to build plate
Would it be a good rule of thumb that the first x layers need to have an area greater than any other layers? Addition of a brim or other features could provide this area.

Re: print not sticking to build plate
On my first prints I was using a glass build plate. I had trouble until I put a brim on the part on try 3 or 4. The part was an extruder gear so was small. Removing it from the build plate was easy to do by sliding it. It broke free after a half inch to an inch. Then I read that many preferred alumi...

Re: Tilt&slide
The machine I built uses an X axis to slide. After looking at tilt, I thought that it would still take a lot of force to peal it off. The vat window probably has some flex which would work in favor of this method. I saw a slide setup that moved the width of the build platform into an area that was d...

print not sticking to build plate
I am having some difficulty with the print sticking to the Sylgard on the bottom of the vat instead of the build plate. The build plate is ground aluminum and was cleaned and deburred but no other treatment. This vat and build plate is large by current standards, 10 x 17 if I recall. The test print ...

Re: How to get print on Display2
Sounds good. I can fake it until then. It should work to boot with a spare monitor.

Re: First post
Looking forward to seeing (and posting) pictures on this site. Will the content from the old site be migrated over to here? The projector mods thread would be one that I would like preserved and I'm sure there are others that will also have future value. Keep up the good work.

How to get print on Display2
I am having trouble getting the print to display on //display2. I selected //display2, saved the changes, went to machine control. The print shows up on //display1 and blanks out the Creation Workshop window. If I drag CW over to //display2, I can sort of make things work but it will be a problem on...
