hi slokhay, I'd experience top down projection on salt water for one year now, and never had any issue with the volume of the support. you should note that this volume is dispatched to the whole of the printed layers then is negligible. if you want to reduce again this negligible effect, you could i...

actually, the miror is a hdd and not a cd. optical miror are expensive and hard to find.... while a old hdd... there are tons around u ! the quality is fine and I see no difference with optical miror for printing. (I'd tested both).
