Re: LCD Based 3D Printer - Introduction

Really great info, thanks for sharing! I may start experimenting. It got me thinking and looking at other similar monitors out there, I came across Ultra Bright LED monitors using blue LEDs. Not cheap, but costs as much as a super nice projector. http://orionimages.com/product/15RTCLD.asp 0.184 μm ...

Such bit resolution requires a special graphical video card, hence why brands such as AMD Firepro, Nvidia Quadro, Realvision and Matrox are used. Normal ATI and Nvidia graphics cards are limited to 8 bit. Looking at Barco...

Re: LCD Based 3D Printer - Introduction

If you get just the panel you will need to find your own controller, none exist for the 5mp panels, and ive only found t...

Re: LCD Based 3D Printer - Introduction

IMO, buying a used monitor is not the best idea.. I have a grave yard of about 6 greyscale monitors. Only a few had the right controller board. You will find most of these monitors use the same panel, but have different controller boards. The panel they use is made by IDtech. They arent that hard t...

Just go over this article. http://www.lcd3dprinter.com/ So, what options do we have, well, NEC and Philips produce grayscale or monochrome displays and so does...
