Re: Carbon 3D
What about gore-tex film? Very gas and vapor permeable. The only question would be resin seep through and translucency.

Re: Carbon 3D
The GPU 'slicer' I am working on would have no such problem. Right now it slices in set layers, but there is no reason I can't make a continuous mode. We'd just need to add the math. Frack fixing the tiny rendering defects I have right now. FEP film is 11,600 cm^3 / ( m^2 * day ) 1 Barrer = 846 mill...

New ultra fast printing process
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/speaking-of-science/wp/2015/03/16/this-new-technology-blows-3d-printing-out-of-the-water-literally/ So apparently, O2 can retard photo resin curing. So carbon3D uses this to ensure that their figures never 'stick' to the film, and the exposure plane is set about 25...

Re: Sub $1000 build, including projector
Uploaded another pic to album, this time with resin tank frame in place and z-axis mounted. Arm needs a bit more stiffening.
Planning on using a floor drain cover for the build platform.
If I build a 6" tank, I estimate effective build volume at approximately 250 cubic inches.

Re: CIRCLES ON MY PRINTS - NEED ADVICE PLS
x/y and z resolution. You are going to see those no matter what. Slicing is not a analog process, but digital, and those are artifacts of the digital process. You can minimize them, but never 100% get rid of them.

Re: Sub $1000 build, including projector
More photos coming soon. Built the vat frame and mounted z-axis. need to stiffen it a tiny bit more, but it should work very well. Using the large set screws to position and hold the tank works very well. Once tightened, tank is impossible to move. The 3/8" 3" long set screws are cup-nosed...

Frame is being built from actobatics parts. They do use inch dimensions, but they go together really nice and square, and they pr...

What is 3d card make, and what drivers are you using? The Opensource Noveau drivers for Nvidia are shit, the Opensource Radon ones are okay ( though the AMD ones are quite a bit more stable ). The included Intel drivers are quite solid.

Re: Simple Light control
The closer your LEDs are to UV, the less power you need as more light will go into curing the resin. In my build, I am going with near-UV 405 nm, most resins set with light < 420nm. In my first runs, I am avoiding true UV leds due to safety concerns. I don't want to bleach my retinas, and using a vi...
