Build Your Own SLA/SLS

Wow!! Wouldn't 1/4" polycarbonate defeat the purpose? I've worked with lexan as thin as 1/32" under lots of stress and it has never cracked, it bends easily but never cracks. I would check my material sources first and make sure it really is polycarbonate instead of plexiglass or acrylic.

Did you reinforce the FEP with thin plastic? or is it just a FEP membrane.

I've really been interested in obtaining a scanner and generating my own models as well. The Flexscan3d looks like it does a very nice job. And the original scan before decimating looked fantastic. I think it's a matter of experimenting until you find an average resolution your printer will be able...
