Re: Vat Sizes of Interest

As I was designing my own version of a flex vat I always wondered why current vats are dimensioned the way they were. I use a HD projector (1920x1080) and I always have mine set at 100um so I 'only' need 192mm x 108mm. But I 'might' want to do 150um? I'm just typing my thoughts out loud as I too am ...

Re: Measure of the closed-loop/endless timing belt

Sorry, I guess I didn't directly answer your question. The first part of the belt part number is usually the pitch length (theoretical circumference [not dia.]) of the belt.:-) http://www.bbman.com/products/belts/identify-timing-belts.html And yes, pitch is distance between teeth, and width is width...

Re: Measure of the closed-loop/endless timing belt

There are several timing belt calculators out there. Keep in mind you will need a way to loosen/tighten the belt.

Re: liquid layer between glass and resin?

I like the term binary. ;) We are talking about trying to get accurate, flat resolution down to microns and trying to get that with a sloshing mix of resin and oil doesn't seem a good solution. The raising and lowering of the build plate creates a turbulent flow to liquids.

Re: Pausing in CW

I was using 1.0.0.36 for my 'current' build. This is my quick synopsis: If I press pause anywhere during the cycle it will complete the next cycle. If i then press play it will continue with the process as expected. If, however, I jog the z up to inspect the part and then press play, it will complet...

Re: Not enough holding power for z axis?

Looks like the brake is electronically separate from the motor? I suppose you could turn it on/off with a relay controlled by the aurduino and gcode. Us CNC mill guys often use counterbalances to offset a heavy spindle on the z-axis. Is that a ball screw that turns so easily when the stepper is deac...

Re: Pausing in CW

My machine is at work so I'll let you know Monday morning. I want to say I'm running 39? I'll try it again without resin to confirm.

Re: Pausing in CW

I too am interested in the proper way to pause. I've only tried it a couple times and each time I pause; jog up; then press play to resume; the z always seemed to go to z- zero and dive my part into my flex vat. I never tried it again. I would use this feature all the time (like I do on my CNC mill)...

Re: Feature Request : Estimated time when finsished

Just curious if it was possible to leave the run time up on the screen when a print is finished? Currently the screen shows 'print complete' and erases the run time. It would be great to know the final run time when the print finished. I am never lucky enough to be by my machine at the exact moment ...
