Re: Calibration print (solid block) always „falls“ into vat

Ah yes I had the same problem, you just need to really really rough up the aluminium build plate (a lot). cheers Dan Do this, you don't want "lightly sanded", you want "really scuffed up". Pretend your worst enemy had a favorite CD and you wanted to ruin it; go for that surface ...

Re: Projector focus

I'm using the Acer H6510BD.

If it's not adhering to your plate, make sure that area is roughed up a bit. If it's too smooth it won't adhere. If that doesn't help, start increasing your initial layer cure times. Mine worked fine at 8000 ms but you may need more.

Re: Acer H6510BD for $475...should I jump on it?

I got mine on Black Friday from Newegg for $500, then they had a coupon like 3 days later (within their price guarantee window) for $50 back. I talked to support and they gave me a $50 Newegg credit, making my total about $450. I wouldn't buy a used one for $475, but if it truly has low hours $400 w...

Re: Projector focus

Try higher exposure times (assuming you're on 50 micron layers). You still look a little undercured (to my rookie eyes lol). I had to go up to around 4500-5000 ms to get my Makerjuice to reliably print supports!

Re: CW 36/41 crashes immediately on Mac OS X. Workaround?

I doubt this is the issue, but I made the dumb mistake of adding my configured port in the **projector serial port** box instead of the correct driver box in CW. Worked via serial port, not via CW, so I found I had just input my values to the wrong place! Can you send Gcode commands via the manual G...

Re: CW 36/41 crashes immediately on Mac OS X. Workaround?

See if your COM port appears and disappears when you connect and disconnect the device. I'm not familiar with macs, so in Windows, open your device manager and see if you see a COM port listed with the device connected, then disconnect it and see if the COM port goes away. If it stays, than that COM...

Re: CW 36/41 crashes immediately on Mac OS X. Workaround?

If you want to check that things are working, you can open a terminal to the serial port and just send it some commands. It accepts Gcode, so the line G1 Z0.5 should move it half a millimeter (I don't have my Gcode reference handy so that might need another argument). Set it to 9600 baud, 8 bits, 1 ...

Re: CW RC36 crashes immediately on Mac OS X

I've uploaded the example "Blink" and it seems to work (hope this hasn’t overwritten the control SW for the LittleRP). I think this is your problem right here. Uploading code to the arduino will clear it and flash new software to it. I'm not an expert so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty s...

Re: Projector focus

You'll lose a little bit of resolution, but not much. I had a similar issue with my prints; I ended up having to go way higher than the suggested starting cure times, so it can really depend on your projector. Move it back a notch and see if that helps, if not move it back two notches. Your resoluti...

Re: Linear rail/car assembly

I left mine on and it's working fine. Those looked like little wipers to me- I think they keep dust/particulates/etc out of the ball bearing assembly.
