Re: Dual stepper for Z-Axis?

Thanks for the input and I'll be sure to post my findings.

Please do, I think build logs with pictures help others more than anything else, I add my stuff but progress is very slow as other projects need finishing first.

Re: Top down wins...

Commercial systems in the past were top down, they have a recoater blade, hollow with a vacuum to suck resin up, they also have a vat raise and lower system to present the resin surface correctly, they tend to be laser based, so not sure if with a clear resin dlp exposure might spread sideways ?. Al...

Re: Dual stepper for Z-Axis?

I think the leadscrew would make a difference, with a fine pitch it should be ok, but a 5mm pitch ballscrew may
not, depends on the surface area as well, I would try the 17 with a fine pitch screw and oilon nut, then change it if you hit problems,, but thats just my opinion.

Wow, I think I would cry if that happened to me, my stuff is mainly scrap, so little to loose, I do have a strong reputation for hanging aroud skips though.

As I am so good at creating work for other people, what if CW had image processing plugins to
give users options for experimentation, a bit like gimp plugins.

bits and bobs take time, plus other projects, but its for pleasure right, so no rush.
I have been looking for FEP, rs do it, but expensive, not sure if you have rs where you are.

Re: Here's my DLP printer

The difference is plain to see, a very real improvement at little cost, when you down size in photoshop, do you get to pick
the sampling method, in some image editors you get to choose I think.
Anyway, this is very interesting, thanks for sharing.
