Ive been emailing and calling Random Technologies for the last two weeks with no luck. No reply to my emails and when I call I get transferred to sales who never answers and his mailbox is always full so no way to leave a message. Ive been looking into getting a sample of the resin and seeing about ...

Re: 7" Raspberry Pi LCD screen, unfortunally not usable

I think the main problem with color LCD's is the color filters, first off Red and Green completely block any usable light, then the blue filter is going to be tuned to a certain wavelength. Probably around 440-450nm. Using LED's is pretty much needed, lamps and bulbs dont work and wont give even eno...

Re: Retina iPad Display

That is not one of my arrays, I do not make arrays with those lenses for obvious reasons! You must have bought my PCB and made your own array because I would never sell an array with those horrible lenses. I can tell you for certain that those lenses are your issue. 5 degree (which it looks like you...

Re: Projector or LED array?

1) Normal projectors work, some without modification. They dont operate at a set wavelength, they use a light bulb which provides a full spectrum of light, the resin only cares about the UV light and near UV light. 2) LED arrays and LCD are viable and do work, they are just not refined yet. Not many...

Re: Carbon 3D

Yeah, No luck finding any Teflon AF sheets. Im a little leary trying out Silpuran as its very strechy stuff, I have a large vat area so im sure it would sag quite a bit in the middle. Ive been reading on how to make our own film from the raw Teflon AF, seems like its not too difficult. Might buy som...

Re: Carbon 3D

Has anyone been able to find Teflon AF Film in larger sizes?

Out of the 4 companies I contacted, only 3 got back to me and none can supply the film in the sizes I need. Im still waiting to hear from Random Technologies, I might give them a phone call today and see what they say.

Ive just order some to test with. Its much cheaper than FEP Film! I wonder what other films out there have high oxygen permeab...

Re: Understanding Microstepping

You are already microstepping as I said. You set the microstepping with the jumpers, all 3 is 16x. You set this in your firmware as well. 320 steps/mm (1mm) and since your leadscrew has a 10mm pitch, you only need to turn 1/10 of a full revolution of the screw or 320 steps for 1mm. For 10mm you woul...
