Re: Tilt&slide

The Gorilla glass is in. 12 x 12 x .031 and it is very flexible if two opposite sides are supported. If all 4 sides are supported, it will still flex but not very much. Maybe .05 to .1 inch. With 2 sides supported it would flex an inch or more. I am trying to come up with a flexible seal for the uns...

Re: grbl firmware

Good to hear. I looked for the grbl shield on eBay but no luck right now. If I can find one I'll fiddle with it on another project.

It sounds like the firmware might be a bit more of a job to set up than some of the popular RepRap firmware though.

Re: Tilt&slide

There is a lot of moaning about acrylic vats over on the B9 Creator forum. If the resin gets on the acrylic they are more or less shot. I like the flexibility though. Just need a durable coating.

Re: Tilt&slide

I have a 12" sq piece of Gorilla glass coming from http://www.mcmaster.com. It is very flexible for glass so I plan to mount it such that the print can peal easier. There will be some tests off the machine first followed by some live testing. I am going to try to mount the Gorilla glass so that...

Re: Creation Workshop RC2 - For Testing

RC1. I will try RC2. Maybe tomorrow. I'm beat. On RC1 I got the same thing that Leinad78 shows in his screen shot. Had a little more time. Move and rotate controls display and work for me with RC2. Projector "show" and "show blank" toggle back and forth properly until you "h...

usb ir remote

A while back I built a setup to allow a person to control some lights and a tv using their foot to control a trackball. One of the parts was a USB IR transceiver. This might be a good way to support projectors since some don't have serial ports or are not documented. I don't know if any of the unive...

Re: Creation Workshop RC2 - For Testing

One feature request is a utility to upconvert existing settings when there is a new format. A stand alone utility would probably be fine instead of building it into CW. Or maybe make the first line of the file indicate the format so it can be converted automaticly. ps 1280 x 1024 is the screen size ...

top down with resin floating on water or ???

There have been trials using a smaller amount of resin floating on water for top down printing. I did some looking around this am and can't seem to find the references. I am considering doing some experimenting with printing top down also and this seemed like an ideal solution to the cost of filling...

Glad to hear you are working on an alternative. Can you provide any additional information or maybe a time frame?

Re: How to get print on Display2

Hi Steve. The grid shows up on display2 now. I toggled between show and show blank and it worked until I hit hide. When I hit show blank, the grid came up and I can't get the blank screen. After a restart, I click showed blank first and couldn't get the grid. This can be worked around. The next thin...
