If the projector lens is parallel to the screen and you still have the uneven grid spacing, it should be a problem inside projector optics. I'd return if it's new. If it's used one, I'd open the lid and look into if there is something misplaced inside.

Are those images after mirror or just in front of projector? If the mirror is not well aligned, it can happen. In case of without mirror, there should be some misalignment with projector optics.

Are you asking about the different grid size between projection and calibration?
