Re: 2056x1536 not an "available display" for 7.9in LCD

Yeah, I just spent a while searching for intel driver updates, and it appears that while these things run win 8 the driver support may be nonexistent from Intel (I assumed it would be from teclast for sure). I'm a little paranoid about trying to change the drivers, because who knows what they had to...

Re: 2056x1536 not an "available display" for 7.9in LCD

Right now it is being driven by the built-in hardware of the tablet (which runs android and win8). After watching a few teardown videos for an ipad mini retina (current gen) and doing a bit of research as to where the connectors are located, I took a gamble that I would be able to dismantle the scre...

Re: 2056x1536 not an "available display" for 7.9in LCD

Thanks for the rapid response. Just to clarify a bit more, I'm about 99% positive it is displaying 2048*1536 in windows, or any other program. I just set windows to 1024*768 and it is a drastic difference with jagged lines and fuzzy areas like a high resolution screen typically does displaying a low...

2056x1536 not an "available display" for 7.9in LCD

First off, Creation workshop looks really good. I have recently purchased a teclast x89 dual boot (win 8.1 and android 4.4) tablet. It uses "intel HD graphics" as well as the 3735f processor. It appears to have the exact LCD the newest ipad mini uses as it is the same size, resolution and ...

Re: Connecting to P1500 via RS232

I can't help other than suggesting a look through avsforum.com. Lots of A/V gurus there and I bet a few actually use the rs232 of projectors when configuring home theaters.

Re: Hardware and Firmware setup

I purchased a azteeg x5 mini a few months back, which is another version of the smoothieboard. It is super simple to make changes to the firmware, as you simply have to edit a text file and hit the reset button. I've only used it on a reprap style 3d printer, but it is a bit easier to update compare...

Re: Retina iPad Display

Has anyone been able to get a good idea of the cutoff wavelength of the retina screen after it is taken apart? Is it exactly 400nm, so that 405nm or 410nm wavelength LEDs would work well? I've seen how some of the absorption curves for the resin do cure up to 420-425nm, but seem to require much more...

Printing horizontally, or vertically, or diagonally?

First post, but I've been trying to do a lot of reading first. I've built a filament 3d printer and cnc machine, but I've only seen videos of SLA. If I wanted to print a 5mm cylinder that was 150mm long, would I want to do it vertically, horizontally, or diagonally to get the best chances of success...
