3D printing would really cut down on the waste of that one part in particular, but then again it would really slow down your part production time...

Could you post a schematic of how you have the parts stacked? I might just download the git repo and do some work on it myself as I'd really like to get away from PDMS dishes. One "gotcha" I see in this design, though, is how do you empty the vat once it has resin in it? With the petri's, ...

But it's the total UV radiation that generates the cloudiness. So if you manage to print faster because less up and down motion, the total exposure time of your part should not change dramatically, so the total UV that your PDMS sees is about the same, I think. Edit: not sure anymore what i'm sayin...

Why are you oven-baking them @ 60°C? AFAIK the FTD resins don't have a cationic component. Or are you doing that to get rid of the moisture in the part?
